Sam turns 2

It's hard to imagine that just 2 years (and a day) ago we were in the hospital, welcoming our third son (first Arizona baby) into this world. At birth, he was nearly 2 pounds smaller compared to his brothers at that age, but he has since made up for lost time and can show them who's boss. It's fun to see such a good little baby become such a fun loving boy with the cutest laugh. (Anyone who knows Sam knows of his distinct laugh - it's completely contagious.) Happy birthday Sam-I-Am!

I've been tagged... but not in the way you're probably thinking. I was holding Zeke and reading my friends blog post about her little girl having a poo explosion and couldn't help but laugh because I could recall all the times it happened to me. I was like, "yah, that hasn't happened in a long time. I don't miss those days." No sooner had I finished that thought and stood up I quickly realized that my luck had run out.... suck! This isn't exactly what I expected to look down and see.

I was trying to manuever him out of his outfit (it was brand new and the first time worn) without getting it everywhere but of course it only made matters worse. It was all up and down my leg and all over my clothes, all over his back. Oh Mr. Zeke, why must you be so mean to your mommy?

To the countless hours spent playing with legos (hospital with ambulance edition) and lincoln logs, to the boy who would pretend to be the horse from Man from Snowy River and galloped around the house, to the boy who could lip-sync the intro of Aladdin (with lamp in hand), to the boy who grew up having 5 mothers and now has 7, to the boy who built a bird bath from a trash can lid, to the brother who has touched many hearts, to the brother who shared Christs' love to the Italian people, to the boy who has since turned into a man and will someday be the best husband and father... this is for you!

Happy Birthday! (I still can't believe that my little brother is 23.) Enjoy your picnic in the park and I promise next time you'll actually get to take part in the fudge eating festivities. We love you!

Hey Sharp Tooth

Last night the boys were outside riding bikes and running around as usual and Sam tripped (again!) on the sidewalk. His mouth was bleeding for a little bit but stopped without a problem. As I got him out of the tub I noticed a little something different in his mouth. This picture doesn't do it justice, but he's got a chip on the bottom corner of his top tooth. Watch out big brothers- here comes Sharp Tooth the T-Rex and he just might eat you!

{we've now got one who will soon start losing his baby teeth, one with a grey dead tooth, one with a chipped tooth, and one who hasn't got his first tooth in yet. You name it, we've got it! Talk about variety}
